nope - the floating shock is attached to the link itself, which is a 'brand new' design.

Looks much beefier than last year's swoops but without the curvy toptube, the standover looks really high. Brule, any chance of geo.s being posted?

it's looking great. The wheels and codes look way better than stock colours - too bad the Bomber decals look like kindergarten... The saints will look fantastic.

that's not an '06 either. Looks like the original '04.

fantastic timing and perfect clarity - check out the weird body position though - no wonder he bottomed on a small drop. Normally when you flat-land a jump you drop your ass down behind the seat to absorb some of the impact.

I love that he did this on a rental bike - I couldn't even do that on a bike I know inside and out!

68.5o would suck! The frame is built around a 7" travel fork with a 67.5 degree headtube. With the longer Boxxers, the angle is slacker, around 66.8. Still pretty steep for a DH ride, but great for jumps and singletrack.

yeah, the Bullit headtube is a 1.5, the Boxxers are 1.125. I used a Tange 1.5 ZSR zero-stack reducer headset. The airshock actually feels more DH than AM, since it's plush even with max air pressure. Having said that, I'll stick with coil next time. I ended up putting RF Evolve DH cranks on too, which are lighter than the Diabolus, but still beefy. The build was only at 35.5 pounds, even with the heavy 325 wheelset, so a pretty decent AM weight too.

no, those are the grey decals, same stripe as on the seatstays. If you look on the '09 website, the gold 'display' bike has the same decals, but the other colours have the newer decal, which is 'BULLIT' in block letters.

All the frames are identical, so there's no difference between the 2 and 3 *frames*. The 08 spec. was pretty good, so hard to see this as a scam.

'Nomade', do you know if this frame has the '09 needle bearings or the '08 bushings?

I test rode a rental Bullit with a Boxxer Race - the head angle was great (about 1/2 degree slacker than with a Totem), but I didn't like the Race as much as the Team. The red stem is a Daredevil direct mount and the headset is a Tange 1.5 reducer. I haven't actually ridden this bike yet - I never even got around to setting up the suspension.

not even close! First, the colour's way off. Second, the link is a slightly different shape Smile
I agree though - other than the seatstay pivot instead of the chainstay pivot and the square rear tubes, there's an unusual likeness. Makes sense though - that design is proven strong and light.

the Team DHs never had straight tubes. This year's tubes seem totally overdone, but the curve on the down tube allows for a lower front end while still allowing for tire clearance at max fork compression. Still seems hard to compare to the amazing 06 version DH though. 'Best Ever' or not, this model will always look like a dainty AM bike.

Too bad the 08 Ollies used the same name - they don't deserve to be compared to this model. Would u ship to BC? if so, how would you work payment? I *think* Can. Post has a COD limit of 1G. Mssge back to my profile pls.

that's not wear & tear - that's Specialized 'distressed' paint effect. Pretty dumb effect because it does look like the paint's rubbed off.

Fantastic lighting and colours - even the tire treads are clear. Good luck to Brandon in the Rampage (yeah, I'm slow...just noticed that he's registered)

Good to see Banshee back in the DH/heavy FR game! I thought they'd taken their ball and gone home after letting the Scream frame ride unchanged for too long. Love the linkage, although unlike VPP, there's no axle pivot. Let's see the build under 42 pounds, and I'll buy it.

he isn't drifting in the pic - it's clearly a skid. There's a big difference between the two. Still a decent pic though.

I'd make this pic my wallpaper if it wasn't for the spot of glare. Crazy angle from the photographer with the fisheye - makes run-of-the-mill riding look remarkable.

Breathing fire in itself is dangerous, let alone while jumping, but you can't compare this to riding without a helmet. A 3rd degree burn will result in lifelong ugly scars, but cracking your idiot head will result in a screwed up future, and ruin the lives of all the people that suddenly need to care for you full time because you're too damaged to even piss by yourself.

You know a pic is great when it looks like it had to be photoshopped. Check out the shadow on the tree from his front tire. Awesome timing for the snapper.

You know it's a great pod when no one's complained about it. Copper rocks light up incredibly - this pic's got skills, danger, backdrop and colour, all in great focus.

samgf1993, either you're a quick wit, or just painfully dim. When you get your training wheels off, you can call them old fashioned too.

This bike is only too white on display - one good ride and it'll be perfectly highlighted with dirt accents. Square top tubes are heavy though. Design of the Stab hasn't changed much at all since early 00's - one of the few bikes that hasn't evolved much (guess that means they haven't gone backwards...like the 09 norcos Smile.

that isn't a superman, so not sure why it looks the same as all the other supermans you see. Gee - all the jumps look the same to me - first you go up a ramp, then in the air, then come down again - where's the individuality?

the price isn't 'this cheap' - the 07 DH frame is the same as the 08 Atomic, so aside from the fork and headset, you're getting a full Atomic for $2000.

Bike looks good, but your write up is even better! Why would you buy a new bearing set for a frame that's never been ridden? And how does an '07 come *stock* with 06 parts? Your ad works though - look how many people are looking closely at it Smile

they get negative props because they used a word other than 'sick', which confuses some riders who only know 3 words.

this is an '04 right? The DH still hasn't changed much, showing how amazing this design was. Great bike.
